A few days ago one of our cats brought a baby squirrel home. It was screaming up a storm! We shooed the cats off it and brought it in the house. The next morning my wife took it to the vet. The vet checked him out for free and said that he looked to be about 5 weeks old and healthy. She bought a cage and some puppy formula for him. The plan was to raise him until he was 4 months old and then release him in the backyard (as directed by the vet). Last night "Rocky" (he had a rocky start being drug home by the cat) started having trouble breathing. This morning we found that he died over night.
